"May is an incredible facilitator who works from her heart. I attended her workshop with an open mind and without any preconceptions as to what I might experience. To my surprise, the movements tapped into something deep inside and I experienced a release of emotions which I was unaware that I was carrying."

My Story

A common girl on an uncommon path

Lawyer by profession, Healer @ Heart

Even though I’ve been a lawyer by profession for most of my life, I am a healer at heart, seeking for the Truth. From a young age, I was asking profound questions like “who am I?”, “why am I here?” and “what is the meaning of life?”.  Growing up, I was given the “template” of success of a typical Chinese immigrant family. I followed that template like a dutiful daughter. I read law at the University of Cambridge, started my career as a solicitor in one of the world's best international law firms.

Admission to HK Court

When life hardened me

I worked my way up from a trainee solicitor to senior executive positions in renowned multinational companies, such as Yahoo! and luxury retailer, Richemont. Despite my seemingly outer success, life was hardening my heart. I was living my life in a constant upstream struggle against the flow. It was exasperated by the sudden death of my mother, the end of a deep relationship and the non-stop high demands and toxic vibes of my corporate job. All these began to take a toll on my health. I was exhausted and struggled to stay balanced and, finally, my pressure cooker exploded.

My Spiritual Quest

I got to a point in my life when I was crushed and driven to my knees praying: “Goddess Kuan Yin, out of your great compassion for your helpless child, please help me heal and, if I make it, I promise to help others heal too”.

Deep down I knew there was another way and I was determined to find it.

I quit my job, sold my Mercedes, and set out on my quest to seek awakening.

I moved to Nepal, served and learned from the greatest hits of enlightened Yogis of our time.

I trained in rigorous Buddhist practices, sat in solitude meditation retreats in a sealed room cut off from the world for a total of 7 months.

I met the Dalai Lama. I visited holy places in Nepal and Tibet, and I attended to my own inner shadow places .

I became a certified macrobiotic chef, yoga teacher, trauma healing facilitator, fascia fitness trainer and studied Buddhism,  traditional Chinese medicine, brain science and neurophysiology.

And I turned down three more promising legal positions.

My awakening

Then, one day, I was struck by a spontaneous and profound awakening, ironically in Central, the heart of Hong Kong city. It is an experience difficult to put into words. I experienced a deep dimensional shift where there was no separation between me, my body and my surroundings.  A new limitless dimension had opened. I feel I have come full circle, except the world never looked the same again. I have started to "play the game of life" all over again, but in an entirely new perception and understanding on how things truly work.

My Calling

Following this profound spiritual shift, I was called to deepen my work in the healing space.

To that end, I founded Heal with May as I to bring strategies and tools that were missing my own journey, so no one would burn out or harden like I did.

My mission is to help executives restore inner balance and reconnect with the highest version of themselves, so they can thrive in the ebb and flow of life.

Now that you know me... ready to practice with me?

"I felt calm and hydrated after May's fascial yoga workshop. It was a beautiful blend of technical, functional and practical learning, all put together by May's skillful delivery and her big heart. Highly recommended for those in a high-stress environment."
